World Fair Trade Day @ Spring Mount Public School

World Fair Trade Day is a global celebration held each year on the second Saturday of May. It’s an opportunity to envision a world where trade helps support small-scale farmers, producers, and their families, cultivating healthy and sustainable communities around the world. The department of Economics organised a special assembly and various competitions to mark the day. The students participated enthusiastically in beating of drum, face painting, creating a post and fashion show. It was indeed a treat to watch our Spring Mount Fashionistas create sustainable fashion with newspapers. Our aim was to highlight the theme for this year and encourage others to adopt practices by leading by example and sharing information on how to make more sustainable choices.
